Welcome to Gooreto! By accessing or using our platform via www.gooreto.com or our mobile applications, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions.

• Users must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• You are responsible for safeguarding your account password and for all activities that occur under your account.

• Users are solely responsible for the content (text, photos, locations) they post on Gooreto.
• You agree NOT to post:
  • Fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive listings (e.g. fake room rentals or scam products).
  • Offensive, defamatory, or hateful content against any community, race, or individual.
  • Intellectual property or photos that do not belong to you.
• Gooreto reserves the right to review, moderate, and delete any content that violates these rules without prior notice.

Gooreto is a shared community space. To keep it safe and useful for everyone, all users are expected to follow these rules:

• Be respectful. Treat other members the way you'd want to be treated - no harassment, hate speech, threats, or targeted abuse of any individual or community.
• Post honestly. Don't impersonate another person or business, and don't create fake or duplicate accounts.
• Don't spam. Posting, commenting, or messaging at a rapid, repetitive rate is automatically detected and may be removed - this protects the feed and other members' inboxes from being flooded.
• Use reporting responsibly. The Report button is there to flag genuine violations, not to target someone you disagree with. Misusing it is itself a violation.
• Respect blocks. If another member has blocked you, you may not attempt to contact them through another account or channel.
• Follow the content rules in Section 2 above for anything you post, comment, or message.

How we respond to violations. Depending on severity and whether it's a repeat issue, Gooreto may take any of the following actions, with or without prior warning:

• Content removal - a specific post, comment, or listing is taken down.
• Posting restriction - your account can still browse and message, but is temporarily blocked from creating new posts, comments, or listings.
• Account suspension - your account is temporarily blocked from logging in entirely, for a set period.
• Permanent ban - for severe or repeated violations, your account and access to Gooreto may be terminated permanently.

If you believe a moderation action was taken in error, you may contact us using the details in Section 6 to request a review.

• Gooreto is an online directory and classifieds platform connecting the Nepalese community. We do not own, manage, or inspect any properties or items listed.
• We are not a party to any agreement between landlords/tenants or buyers/sellers. Users must perform their own due diligence before making payments or signing contracts. Gooreto is not liable for any financial loss, fraud, or disputes arising from peer-to-peer transactions.

• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate user accounts that repeatedly violate our terms, engage in spamming, or attempt to scam other users.

At Gooreto ("Guiding your Steps"), we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains how we collect, use, and secure your information across www.gooreto.com and our mobile application.

• Personal Details - Name, email address, phone number, and profile picture when you create an account.
• Location Data - Approximate or precise location (via GPS) if you allow the app to show listings near you.
• Usage & Device Data - IP address, device type, and app usage statistics to help improve app performance.

• To verify your identity and maintain a secure community environment.
• To enable core features such as local job searches, room filtering, and in-app messaging.
• To send important system notifications, updates, and safety alerts.

• Public Profile - Some information (like your name or public posts) will be visible to other users on the platform.
• No Data Selling - We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third-party marketing companies.
• Service Providers We Use - To operate Gooreto, certain information passes through the following processors, each acting under its own privacy terms: Google Firebase (account sign-in, database, file storage, and backend functions), Google and Facebook (optional "sign in with" account linking), Google reCAPTCHA and Firebase App Check (fraud/abuse prevention), BigDataCloud (converts your device's location into an approximate area name when you grant location permission), and OpenStreetMap/Nominatim (map display and address lookup). None of these providers receive your data for their own marketing use - only to perform the specific function Gooreto relies on them for.
• We may share data only when legally required by law enforcement or government authorities under applicable regulations.

• We keep your information only as long as your account is active.
• Your Rights - You have the right to access, correct, or request the permanent deletion of your account and personal data at any time through the app settings.

We implement industry-standard technical measures (like SSL encryption) to protect your data from unauthorized access.

We only send news and offers by email if you said yes - when you sign up, when the app asks you, or in Settings. Account emails (verification codes, password resets, security and account notices) are part of the service and are always sent.

• Every marketing email shows who it is from and has a one-click Unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing works straight away.
• You can turn marketing emails on or off anytime in Settings > News & Offers by Email.
• We record when and how you gave or withdrew consent, and never sell or share your email address for marketing.

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or wish to request data deletion, please email us at Support@gooreto.com.
